Privacy and cookie statement Wicer B.V. Download PDF (Dutch)
This privacy and cookie statement was last amended on 20-01-2025
Wicer B.V. (hereinafter: Wicer) developed DoggyDoggy.App (hereinafter: Platform) to put the various dog businesses that provide a dog-related service in touch with dog owners. Personal data is processed through the website (https://www.doggydoggy.app/en/dog-owner) and the Platform. In addition, cookies are placed by Wicer and third parties. In this privacy and cookie statement we explain which personal data we process as the controller when you use our services. We therefore comply with the General Data Protection Regulation ('GDPR').
This means that we:
- Clearly establish our purposes before we process your personal data, through this privacy and cookie statement.
- Store as little personal data as possible and only the personal data that is necessary for our purposes.
- Ask for explicit consent for the processing of your personal data, should consent be required.
- Take sufficient security measures to protect your personal data. We also impose these obligations on parties that process personal data on our behalf.
- Respect your rights, such as the right of access, correction or erasure of your personal data that we have processed.
Below we indicate, per purpose, which personal data we obtain from you, for which purpose we process this personal data and how long the personal data is retained. If you have any questions, or want to know exactly what we record, please contact Wicer using the contact details at the bottom of this statement.
DoggyDoggy Account
To use the Platform it is necessary to create an account. To do so you have to provide information and choose a user name. We process this personal data in order to perform the agreement, namely to give you access to the Platform and to manage your account.
You can also log in with your existing account at a third party (for example Google). By using this functionality, certain personal data that you previously entered at that party is automatically adopted. This personal data is only requested from the third party if you choose to do so. We then process this personal data in your account.
The personal data we use to create your account is:
- Email address
- Name
- Company name (if you create a business account)
- IP address
We retain this personal data for up to 5 years after you last logged in to your account.
Using the Platform
On the Platform you can easily find dog businesses in your area that match your wishes. When you make a choice, we connect you to the dog business concerned. We use your personal data to perform the agreement we enter into with you, namely to connect you to the dog business. Once you are connected to the dog business, that business becomes the controller for the processing of your personal data. We advise you to also consult the privacy statement of the dog business concerned. We process the following personal data:
Name, address and place of residence
- Location data
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Payment details
- Invoice details
To make the Platform function properly, we use software that detects malfunctions and reports them to us. This software tracks the devices that use the Platform, so that we can monitor whether the Platform works properly and can resolve any problems quickly. We process this personal data to perform the agreement we enter into with you, namely providing access to the Platform and safeguarding optimal functioning of the services. For this purpose we additionally process the following personal data:
- IP address
- User ID
- Model and device type
- Name and version of the operating system
- Device settings
- Language settings
- Browser settings
We retain this personal data until your account is closed or the agreement with you ends. Data collected when the software is used is retained for 90 days in order to monitor and improve the functioning of the Platform. Certain personal data will be retained for a longer period if we are obliged to do so (for example because of the 7-year tax retention obligation).
Application
We offer a mobile application through the App Store and the Google Play store. Through the application you can use our services. We use this personal data to perform the agreement we enter into with you, namely the use of the application. For this purpose we process the following data:
- Name
- Login details
- Apple ID
- Google Play account
- Location data
We retain your personal data for as long as you have the application or for up to 2 years after you last used your account, because we then assume that you no longer wish to use our services.
Requesting a demo
If you would like to know more about our services or products, you can submit an online demo request through our sign-up form. We need some personal data from you in order to handle your request. We process this data in order to carry out the instruction you have given us. We process the following data:
- (Company) name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Chamber of Commerce number
We retain this information for up to 1 year in connection with the quotation process that may take place following the demo.
ReCAPTCHA
We use reCAPTCHA to prevent misuse of our contact form. By indicating that you are not a robot, the following is checked:
- How quickly the form is filled in
- Which mouse movements are made while filling it in
- The IP address of the person filling in the form
This data is analysed by Google LLC. From this, Google determines whether they are dealing with a legitimate visitor or a bot. A real visitor then only has to click a checkbox, confirming that they are not a robot. The message can then be sent to the recipient through the form. For more information we refer you to Google's privacy policy.
Contact and complaint handling
When you send us an email, fill in the contact form on the website or contact us in any other way, you take up our offer to get in touch with us. We use this personal data to perform the agreement we enter into with you. For this purpose we process the following personal data:
- Name
- Business information (if you contact us in a business capacity)
- Contact details (email address and telephone number)
- Any information you enter yourself as the content of a message
We store these contact moments together with the personal data you provided in order to handle the contact and any complaint you may have. We retain this information for as long as is necessary for this contact or for up to 2 years after we last had contact with you, because we want to be sure that we have handled your question or complaint properly.
Job applications
If you have responded to one of our vacancies or submitted an open application, we process your personal data in order to handle your application and in preparation for a possible employment contract. For this purpose we process the following personal data:
- Name, address and place of residence
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Cover letter
- Passport photo
- Salary indication
- References
- Any other information you sent along with your application
We retain your application data for up to 4 weeks after the position has been filled. We retain this personal data so that we can contact you in case the position becomes available again within the probationary period. If we cannot offer you a position at this time, we can — with your consent — retain the application data for another year. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email. If you come to work for us, we retain your application data in your personnel file. This file is retained for as long as is necessary and, with regard to the application data, for up to 2 years after the start of employment.
A social media and internet search may be part of the application procedure. This is necessary to safeguard that our image is maintained when hiring new staff. We therefore do this on the basis of our legitimate interest. For this purpose we search for your name through Google, and for any profile you may have on various social media. This is of course only insofar as these profiles are public; we will not ask you to grant us access to a restricted social media page or to connect with us. The results of the search are discussed with you. Should you object to this, you can tell us so at the moment you apply.
Provision to other companies or institutions
We only share your personal data with third parties when this is permitted under current legislation. It may happen that we provide your personal data to third parties, because:
- We have engaged them to process certain data
- We have a legal basis for doing so
- We are legally obliged to do so (for example if the police demand it when a criminal offence is suspected)
The parties that process personal data on our instruction or yours are:
- IT suppliers and service providers
- Cookie service providers
- Payment service providers and debt collection agencies
Some of our suppliers are established outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). In that case we ensure that appropriate safeguards are put in place to protect your privacy.
This privacy and cookie statement applies exclusively to the services of Wicer. We are not responsible for the privacy policy of other websites that can be reached through a link on our website.

If you want to know what the social media platforms do with your personal data, please read the relevant privacy statement:
